RFC Engineering Ltd is a Private Engineering Consultancy Practice. Our expertise is predominantly in the residential development sector but we also have experience and can provide design and consultancy services in other construction and engineering areas. We are familiar with the engineering requirements of the County/City Councils as well as the National bodies such as Waterways Ireland, Duchas, Environmental Protection Agency, Dublin Transportation Office and Fisheries Board.

Feasibility Studies
- Production of comprehensive Feasibility Studies on the earthworks, drainage, roads and traffic engineering requirements for potential re-zoning of lands or at the Pre-Planning Stage of new developments.
- Production of Feasibility Studies for local sporting facilities seeking funding from Local and National Authorities. The Feasibility Studies will include written text, maps, drawings and diagrams as required.
Planning Stage
- Preliminary Design for earthworks, wastewater and surface water drainage, attenuation of surface water including SUDS, estate roads, junctions and parking facilities for proposed developments.
- Production of local area traffic assessment and transport strategy reports.
- Structural Design for small commercial units and up to three storey residential and apartment units.
- Cut and Fill calculations for site earthworks.
- Consultation with relevant Local and National Authorities prior to and during the Planning Application Process.
- Production of AutoCAD drawings and 3D modelling for earthworks assessments.
- Preparation and submission of Pre-Planning enquiries and Planning Applications for all forms of developments.
- For sporting facilities and clubs, preparation of Planning Applications and applications for Grant Funding for floodlighting, clubhouse facilities, refurbishment of existing facilities, pitch construction and drainage.
- Site Percolation Testing and preparation of Site Assessment Reports in accordance with Environmental Protection Agency guidelines.
- Site Soakage Testing, design calculations for soakaways and preparation of design reports in accordance with BRE Digest 365.
- Sun Shadow Diagrams.
- Liaison with Local Authority and National Bodies
Tender Stage
- Production of Tender documentation including specifications, contract documents and drawings.
- Assessment of Tender returns and reporting
- Preparation of Preliminary Health and Safety Plans
Construction Stage
- Production of detailed designs and construction drawings for earthworks (cut and fill), drainage (including SUDS requirements) and estate roads (including road markings, street signage and traffic signals).
- Production of detailed designs and construction drawings and specifications for structural and non-structural elements for commercial units, basement structures, single unit dwellings and house extensions up to three storeys.
- On-site inspections of drainage and road construction operations for estate developments.
- On-site inspections during construction of small commercial units, single unit dwellings and house extensions including provision of Interim Payment Certificates and Opinions on Compliance with the Building Regulations.
- Project Management Services
- Liaison with Local Authority and National Bodies
- Building Energy Rating Assessments for all new properties.
Mapping
- Preparation of maps for purposes of registry of land and wayleave agreements to comply with the requirements of Legal Advisors.
Structural Surveys and Snagging Lists
- Structural surveys of existing dwellings and structures and snagging lists for new dwellings.
